A beautiful example of amethyst ‘cathedral’ quartz from one of the most sought after amethyst locations – Vera Cruz, Mexico. This crystal also exhibits a ‘hoppered’ appearance – deep, natural indentations in the faces of the termination. This is a large crystal for this location – 3-3/4″ (95mm) , and is perched on top of matrix with associated chlorite.
