Peridot is known as an inter-galactic gemstone because it is the only gemstone that forms in meteorites known as Pallasites. This necklace has faceted rondelles of peridot strung with distinctive sterling silver beads. The center bead is, in fact, made from a nickel-iron meteorite and displays the distinctive Widmanstätten pattern of this type of meteorite.
