Item Description

A sharp, highly lustrous yellow fluorite specimen from the now closed Minerva Mine in Illinois. The largest crystal measures 3″. Purple color banding is evident at the edges of the crystals and there are chalcopyrite inclusionst. Ground water flows over time have resulted in sections of the fluorite being dissolved, leaving openings to the etched yellow base. This piece has transparency and is in great condition.
